What is CanesOasis?

CanesOasis is an over-the-counter treatment for cystitis, a common urinary tract infection (UTI) experienced by women. It contains the active ingredient sodium citrate, which makes urine less acidic.

What is CanesOasis used for?

It’s used to treat the symptoms of mild cystitis, a UTI that affects women. UTIs are infections caused by a buildup of bacteria in the urinary tract. They can cause a number of uncomfortable and troublesome symptoms including:

• Burning or stinging sensations when urinating
• Urinating more frequently or with more urgency
• Lower abdominal pain
• Cloudy, dark or strong-smelling urine

How does CanesOasis work?

Sodium citrate, the active ingredient in CanesOasis, works by making urine less acidic. This causes less irritation when using the bathroom as a result.

How should I take CanesOasis?

Adult women should take one sachet, mixed with 200ml of water, three times a day, for a maximum of two days.

CanesOasis should not be taken for longer than two days. If your symptoms last longer than two days, consult your GP or a pharmacist.

Who can’t take CanesOasis?

CanesOasis isn’t suitable for:

• Men
• Children
• Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding
• Women with an allergy to sodium citrate or any of the other ingredients in CanesOasis

This treatment is also not suitable for women who have:

• Heart disease
• High blood pressure
• Diabetes
• A history of kidney disease
• A low-salt diet

How should I store CanesOasis?

CanesOasis should be stored in a dry, cool environment that does not exceed 25°C.
